Dualita Architecture was founded in 2019 by J. Armando Hernández Varela with a clear vision: to redefine what an architecture firm can be. From the very beginning, the goal was to move beyond the limitations of the traditional firm model and create a practice where clients receive not only design excellence but also genuine care, attention, and a truly personalized experience. At Dualita, we believe architecture is much more than a service. It is an art form and a collaborative journey between client and architect. Every project begins with listening understanding the needs, aspirations, and unique circumstances of each client. From there, we work closely and transparently, ensuring that the design process is both creative and practical, and that the outcome is a reflection of shared vision and trust. What sets us apart is the way we remain deeply engaged at every stage. Unlike large corporations, where principals are often distanced from the design process, at Dualita Architecture the principal is fully involved from concept to completion. This allows us to maintain a direct and personal connection with our clients, ensuring that their voices are heard and their projects are treated with the highest level of dedication. Ultimately, we want to bring better architecture to Edmonton. A Global Education & Expertise Armando’s journey started with a Bachelor of Architecture from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Guadalajara, Mexico. His thirst for knowledge took him to Spain, where he earned his Master of Architecture at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona. Specializing in architectural design, Armando has mastered the art of creating spaces that blend beauty and functionality. As a registered architect with the Alberta Association of Architects, his work is a testament to innovation and quality. Leadership & Vision Armando’s career is defined by his ability to lead teams, mentor talent, and deliver exceptional results. His expertise spans project management, 3D visualization, and an in-depth knowledge of building codes. He has a unique talent for collaborating seamlessly with consultants and stakeholders, ensuring every project runs like clockwork. Whether working independently or with a team, Armando thrives in dynamic environments that push the boundaries of architectural design. Hello, my name is Eickerman Campos, and I’m a Designer and Project Manager at Dualita Architecture, bringing over 24 years of experience in architectural design. Throughout my career, I’ve cultivated a multidisciplinary approach that blends artistic sensitivity with technical precision. My passion for design is rooted in a deep appreciation for creativity and problem-solving transforming ideas into meaningful spaces where people can live, work, and grow. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, a Wood Construction Certificate from NAIT, and a Residential Interior Design Certificate from the University of Alberta. My academic and professional background has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to lead a wide range of projects, from residential and commercial developments to complex mixed-use spaces. I am particularly committed to sustainable design practices and continuously update my skills by staying current with the latest tools and design technologies. What I bring to every project is not just technical expertise, but also a positive, collaborative spirit. I’m often told that my patience, kindness, and cheerful nature make working together a smooth and enjoyable experience. I truly believe that a thoughtful design process starts with empathy and a genuine passion for the craft. In addition to architecture, I find inspiration in the arts and the outdoors. Painting and sculpture have always been essential to my creative process, while biking, canoeing, baseball, and travel allow me to stay connected with the world around me and bring fresh perspectives into my work. I am a dedicated and innovative designer and technologist with over 13 years of professional experience in Mexico and Argentina. My work is grounded in a multidisciplinary approach to architecture, combining creative vision with technical expertise to guide projects through every stage from conceptual development to detailed design and execution. I take pride in my ability to solve problems quickly and effectively, especially when it comes to navigating complex design challenges using advanced architecture and design software. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Guanajuato in Mexico and a master’s degree in architectural project design from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina (2018–2020). My academic background has been instrumental in shaping the way I approach designalways thoughtful, purposeful, and rooted in both innovation and practicality. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a diverse range of architectural projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and contributing to solutions that are both creative and technically sound. I consider myself a team player who values clear communication, collaborative thinking, and a commitment to excellence in every aspect of a project. Outside of work, I’m passionate about travel and exploring new cultures, which continually inspire my design perspective. Hello, I’m Suman Bhathal, a passionate Designer and Project Manager with over a decade of experience in architecture and interior design. My professional journey has been shaped by a commitment to creating spaces that are not only functional but also inspiring and aesthetically refined. I hold a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) and a Diploma in Interior Design (DID), which together provide a strong foundation in both architectural theory and practical design execution. Over the years, I have further specialized my expertise through certifications in Commercial Interior Design, Home Staging, and Property Styling. This diverse skill set allows me to approach each project with a holistic understanding of space, purpose, and experience ensuring that every design is thoughtful, cohesive, and tailored to the needs of its users. My approach to work is grounded in dedication, creativity, and a collaborative spirit. I believe that great design is achieved through a balance of technical precision and emotional resonance, and I strive to bring that balance to every project I lead. I am originally from Colombia and hold over ten years of professional experience as an Architectural Technologist and Designer. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work in diverse areas including architectural, urban, and interior design. This wide range of experience has given me the ability to approach projects from multiple perspectives, always balancing functionality, aesthetics, and innovation. What excites me most about my work is the process of transforming ideas into tangible spaces that serve people in meaningful ways. I am deeply passionate about developing innovative solutions that respond to each client’s needs and aspirations. My attention to detail allows me to carefully guide a design from concept through to completion, ensuring that the final result is both technically sound and creatively inspiring. Whether the project is residential, commercial, or urban in scale, I dedicate myself fully to creating spaces that enhance the way people live, work, and interact with their environment. I bring over ten years of experience in visual planning, team development, and project coordination, supported by a background in upper-level management. I also hold a certificate from the FUEL Music Studies program at Vanguard College, which has enriched my appreciation for the arts and interdisciplinary collaboration. Beyond my professional endeavors, I have a passion for travel, literature, music, writing, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
